How It Got Started

The purpose of the MHCP is to create an interprofessional social organization that directly connects students in healthcare careers. The MHCP was developed after dental student, Tia Robinson, and medical student, Kayla Mayes noticed the lack of activities and venues in eastern NC where minority students in the health sciences could congregate. In an effort to rectify this issue Melanin Healthcare professionals were developed.
Tia Robinson went to Clemson University and Kayla Mayes went to North Carolina A&T. We are dedicated to helping unite health professionals
